What’s in A Name…

That evening, a bus-ticket agent told me an interesting story after a bus has passed by.  “Do you know the meaning of EKA, the name of that bus”? “I don’t know, Sir”, I answered.

“At the time, its name was not EKA, but FLORES. One day a FLORES bus broke into a level crossing at Purwosari-Solo, and hit by a running train. All of its passengers were dead. Then Government banned FLORES’ license. Years later, FLORES transformed itself into a new bus company: EKA, that stands for Eling Kereta Api = Remember The Train….

And I remember immediately what Juliet had said to Romeo,” what’s in a name…”
